Marketing Committee: Expanded, Energized and Ready to Promote Lake Communicators

Mike Setta, Villa Beach Communications, has accepted the role for 2017 to lead the marketing committee, which will meet formally three to four times per year. The goal of the Marketing Committee will be to work with the board and current LC members to better market and promote Lake Communicators as a viable professional organization. The group will reach out to current members (intra-marketing) and to the outside Lake County community (external).

Gary Caluducan, IBB, has offered assistance in video and social media production to post on social media channels, having experience in doing so with his company IBB. Greg Morgan, Lake County Women’s Journal, will assist in overall messaging and design. The committee will be utilizing current marketing materials, both print and digital, and will make recommendations to construct a more robust marketing program to achieve the overall goals of Lake Communicators.

United Way Announces Speaker for Upcoming Women’s Leadership Council Breakfast Speaker Series

Liz Ferro will speak at the next Women’s Leadership Council Breakfast on Thursday, February 23rd at Pine Ridge Country Club. Liz is the author of the book “Finish Line Feeling” and Founder & CEO of Girls With Sole (GWS). Liz is a national inspiration and has been featured on The NBC Today Show, in Self magazine, Runner’s World and Family Circle Magazine.

Liz is uniquely uplifting. She has journeyed from foster child and sexual abuse survivor to marathon runner (she completed the 26.2 Marathon in ALL 50 states), 5x Ironman Triathlete, wife, mother, author and speaker, to founder of the nationally recognized non-profit organization GWS. Liz will share the POWER principles of Perseverance, Optimism, Wisdom, Energy and Resilience that guide her and work to empower the minds, bodies and souls of girls who are at risk or have experienced abuse of any kind. Attendees will share updates on State and Local initiatives that will affect Lake County

Hundreds of Northeast Ohio business people, community leaders, and committed citizens will gather for the Lake County Development Council’s 2017 Legislative Breakfast on Monday, February 27 at the Holiday Inn & Suites LaMalfa, Mentor.

Distinguished MC, Dr. Brian Posler, President of Lake Erie College, will preside. Newly elected County Commissioner Jerry Cirino will speak in his first major public address since taking office. John Eklund, John Rogers, and Ron Young will be at the head table to share updates on State and Local initiatives that will affect attendees and Lake County. A lively Q & A will follow, as is the tradition.
