CMI also offers strategic consulting for enterprise brands such as AT&T, Petco, LinkedIn, SAP and many others. Joe is the winner of the 2014 John Caldwell Lifetime Achievement Award from the Content Council.

Joe not only writes one of the most influential content marketing blogs in the world, he writes a column for Entrepreneur.com and LinkedIn. You can listen his podcast, “This Old Marketing” and find him on Twitter @JoePulizzi. If you ever meet him in person, he’ll be wearing orange.

As we approach the halfway mark of our year I’d like to personally thank the APEX team chaired by both Annemarie Donnelly and Laura Lytle. (And congrats to Laura on your new baby girl Emma.)

The entire team made this event the best ever.

Our next luncheon, on June 25, joining the Willoughby Western Lake County Chamber, will be a true collective effort and should go a long way in interacting with the Chamber membership and telling our story.

Following the June luncheon we will take our normal two-month break for lunch meetings. But, for the socialites, we will have an evening food and fun event at the Fairport Harbor Lighthouse and Marine Museum in August. In addition we are planning a half-day seminar in September.

Look for more information to come as we top off our first half.

Consider SEO While Redesigning Your Website

With all of the moving pieces that go into a website redesign, it’s easy to overlook search engine optimization best practices. That’s why Lake Communicators member company Blackbird Interactive created the 10 SEO “Must-Dos” For Your Website Redesign. Get the free ebook.

Here’s an excerpt:

SEO E-Book“It’s a new era for SEO, an era where you can no longer keyword-stuff your way to search ranking success. Nowadays, if Google finds out that you are blatantly overusing (or hiding) keywords on your site, your credibility (and rankings) could take a serious hit. However, this doesn’t mean that keywords are totally irrelevant. In fact, if you’re doing what Google wants you to do (creating high-quality content), keywords will work their way naturally into your website’s pages.”
