The survey results are in and the results show that, most importantly, members want valuable topics from qualified speakers.

Most prefer a central Mentor location for the lunch meetings. Cost of full lunch going to $20 does not seem to be a problem. (Note the March meeting will be $20.)

Networking is still a strong part of our meetings so come early and interact with possible clients, learn from colleagues or just share some marketing trends. Make the most of your investment as a Lake Communicators member.

You should have received an email March 3 asking for your biography – or to confirm current information – for the next Lake Communicators directory. Please make every effort to keep to our Friday, March 6 deadline with your information. New portrait photos will be taken at the March lunch meeting.

This next directory will have more about our organization, members and results of last year’s APEX Awards.

How can you maximize no-cost positive marketing exposure strategies for yourself, your business or your clients?

That’s where one of my favorite topics, harnessing the Power of the Pro Bono, comes into play. Why volunteer at all?

Whether you’re marketing the products or services of your employer or your own business or just simply enhancing your image and value to the people you work for and with, the Power of the Pro Bono can be a simple, quick and no-cost self-marketing strategy. Effectively done, it can help accomplish several important goals for you. Read more…
