Jim Kukral: The New Rules of Self-Publishing

Jim Kukral
Jim Kukral

A book is the best business card you will ever have. Until recently, if you wanted to publish a book you needed an agent and a publisher, but not anymore. Now, anyone who knows a lot about anything can publish a book and use it to drive more leads, sales and publicity for their business or brand. Learn how to do it yourself, and more importantly, how easy it is and how it will change your business forever.

Jim Kukral, a serial webpreneur, spends most of his time helping entrepreneurs and small business owners learn how to find success online. His passion for teaching shines through in his training and coaching programs that have been taken by hopeful business owners from around the globe. His latest venture focuses on bringing the power of self-publishing to the masses via Digital Book Launch. Jim Kukral is a 18-year Internet marketing professional who was recently named by Dun & Bradstreet as one of “The Most Influential Small Business People on Twitter.”

Jim also serves as a Program Faculty Member for the University of San Francisco’s Internet Marketing Program where he teaches classes to students around the globe on the topics of Internet marketing, entrepreneurship and social media.

Lake Communicators Committee helps “Ready Lake County”

ReadyLakeCounty.com

Lake Communicators E-Team is proud to have helped the Lake County Emergency Management Agency and Local Emergency Planning Committee develop and launch the Ready Lake County campaign in September to motivate residents to take action, make a plan and be self-prepared for any disaster or emergency.

While many resources and agencies already exist to educate the public on what they need to do to prepare, numerous families would not be prepared if a disaster struck today because they think they can rely on their local emergency services if they need help. In reality however, first responders will assist the elderly and people with special needs before they would be able to assist the general public, leaving many individuals and families to be self-sufficient. The Lake County EMA needed a campaign to get the public’s attention and engage them to act.

Because of the hard work, dedication and hours of planning and strategizing, we were able to launch ReadyLakeCounty.com, the one source for everyone to easily access local agencies and resources for basic information to create a disaster plan, to build an personal emergency supply kit, to prepare for pet needs, and to identify which agencies are best for their unique emergency needs.

ReadyLakeCounty.com websiteWe encourage you to visit the website – or your local library display – for steps on making your family and home ready for any emergency. And tell your friends and neighbors about Ready Lake County too!

Thanks to Ray Somich who enlisted the Lake Communicators brain trust to create the emergency awareness campaign. Thank you to the E-Team: Tom Ruffner, Dawn Cole, Carrie Dotson, Jerie Green, Cristen Kane, Laura Lytle, Diana Lewis, Kristy Milo, Julia Schick.
