MAY 4 CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE FOR BOB BARBIAN

We are sharing the sad news that Bob Barbian, an original founding member of Lake Communicators back when it was “LCPC,” has passed.
Walker Funeral Home has provided these details on the memorial and graveside services:

Robert “Bob” E. Barbian passed away, Monday, April 23, 2018 at UH Cleveland Hospital. Living most of his life in Geneva. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on Monday, September 2, 1935 son of Alfred J. & Mary F. (McNabb) Barbian. Bob was a professional [hotographer working for Art Taylor Studio in Geneva and having his own studio in Ashtabula. He was known for his Barbian Bridal Affairs and being the photographer for the Cleveland Force. After 50 years Bob retired in November 2015. He was Sports Editor for Geneva Free Press, Star Beacon, Painesville Telegraph and was the 1st Major Hoople for the Geneva Free Press. Bob was very active in Painesville with the Chamber of Commerce, Businessmen’s Association and J-Cee’s. Graduated from Willoughby Union High School and served in the US Army. Hobbies included metal detecting, fishing, watching all sports and camping.
Celebration of Life Service: Food and fellowship will be held 2:00-4:00 pm Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Rd., Madison, OH.
Private Graveside Service will be held at Evergreen, Geneva, OH.
